Whether you own the best vape shop in Las Vegas or the worst vape shop in Nantucket, you are aware of the PMTA’s. Will the PMTA destroy the vape business? Short answer is, NO. The vape industry is a multi billion dollar industry that will not disappear.
Vaping is here to stay… Why?
- Those who quit cigarettes do not want to go back.
- Flavors. Humans like flavors. (Not just children as some deceiving big tobacco marketing tells you)
- It’s more cost effective.
- It’s a healthier alternative to smoking.
So why are they making it so hard on the vape industry? It must be bad for you right? Nope. Regular tobacco companies like Philip Morris have lost OVER 50 percent of their income because of the vape industry. That is OVER 100 BILLION a year in sales. And guess what? Big tobacco wants their money back. So they send lobbyists, make marketing ads and are happy when things like the PMTA gets pushed through congress. They can pay they hefty fees… which means the little guys (like vapes shops) can go away. Leaving them back on top.
Will it work? Once again, no.
Synthetic nicotine is here. When you use synthetic nicotine, you no longer fall under tobacco laws. What will this mean for the market? Prices will go up. Synthetic nicotine is MUCH more expensive. Your average 60ml bottle that you buy for $20.00 will most likely cost $34 in the future. People will complain but they will pay for it. Why you ask? Refer to the list above titled “Vaping is here to stay”.
